Joan was a part of my childhood for a couple of years. A good friend to my sister Kathleen., many years ago. I have fond memories of her living with us in England. She was always smiling. R.I.P. Joan. May the Angels lead you into Paradise.

Joan was a warm, kind and welcoming woman and will remain so in my memories. When I met her first, she knew I was a little overwhelmed by all the new faces around me (her and my wife-to-be's lovely family) so she called me over to her and we chatted away until we had worked out some common ground. She gave me a rock to cling to until I'd settled into knowing all those Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and that's my enduring memory of her, a rock and a safe place and a comfort to others. She will be missed and fondly remembered. All my love to her family.
