In spite of the challenges she faced, she remained deeply committed to her studies and to the community. I had great respect for her dedication and spirit. So sorry to hear this. Joany was just a fantastic person whose smile and chat lit up the day for those around her. I always looked forward to carrying her when i drove for Lakeland Taxis.

I remember her as an angelic little girl, very polite and quiet. When Joany was on a roll, she would talk endlessly about her sibling, particularly Mikey. She loved her family.
