Sincere sympathies to Mrs Keating's family at this saddest of times. She taught me in 5th & 6th class in Eglantine in the early 7O’s. I was in Eithne’s RIP class. A very dedicated and interesting teacher. May she rest in peace.

Joan was always a favourite cousin of our mother Margaret (Lynch) and a good friend to us since we moved to Cork city in 1979. She will be missed. Sincere condolences to all the family from Katharine, Siobhán, Joe, and Rachel.

She had a huge input into primary education in Cork as an inspiring teacher, dedicated Principal and committed INTO branch officer. I was very saddened to hear of Joan's passing, R.I.P. She was a wonderful woman and an excellent teacher. Later in Eglantine school, my daughters and I remember a very pleasant, hardworking and encouraging Principal.

My sincere condolences to Keating and Moynihan family on the death of a great woman when I entered the convent Joan was teaching in North Pres then I met her in Lourdes many years later wher she was chief handmaiden and doing great work with Cork and Ross pilgrimage. She was such a wonderful head always available to listen to and to give advice when needed.
My girls thrived under her loving care and guidance.
