My sympathy on the passing of Joanie. She was a vivacious lady who inspired me on many occasions since I first met her nearly 50 years ago. I was very happy to have the opportunity of a long conversation with her at George's funeral a few weeks ago. May she rest in peace and be rejoined with George.
Deepest Sympathies on your loss. Have many great memories of Joan before I retired. May the light of Heaven be on her.
So sorry to hear the sad news. I have very fond memories of Mrs McLaughlin and her home in Foxrock, swimming in the icy cold pool, her enormous Irish wolf hounds and a house full of games, nooks and adventures. I will treasure these memories. My deepest condolences.
Olwen and Lise Ann we are so sorry to see this news. My mom, Brenda, was just writing to Joan when she read the paper today. Heartbroken for you with fond memories of your mom being such a great nieghbour and swimming and playing tennis. There was always a welcome and alot of craic when she was involved. Sending sincere condolences.xxx
Lise-Ann, you and Olwen probably don't even remember me (HCK class of 75) I was at Echoes in Dalkey on Saturday. Your reading of Maeve's "contraceptive conversation" was just brilliant. I would never have known how difficult it must have been for you... true professional and I am sure your Mum would be so proud. Beverly Hanly
