Joan was a beautiful stylish lady and a lovely set dancer . I am privileged to have known Joan since the first set dancing workshop weekend in Pontoon many years ago. I am deeply saddened to hear about Auntie Joan's passing. She was such a special presence in all our lives, a true lady in every sense of the word.
Some of my happiest childhood holidays were in Mayo playing dress-up with her hats and scarves, feeling very glam! Joan had the most impeccable style and somehow always smelt absolutely beautiful, so elegant, so put together, and yet always warm and welcoming.

She will be remembered not only for her grace and style, but for the kindness and warmth she brought into every room. I feel very lucky to have those memories of her.
