It is with great sadness that I see, that Joan Callan Mulcahy has passed away, it is the end of an era for sure.I will always remember her with great affection, particularly going back to the early childhood days in Monaghan when she would come to visit my Mother Ann, she was always so full of sunshine, laughter and life.I would like to extend, my sincere sympathy to Maria, and to all of the family, on your Mothers death, her like, will not be seen again.May she rest in peace.Marie Walsh. I am sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. The relationships between the Mulcahys and the O’Hallorans is one that I have treasured my whole life. Joan’s kindness, wit and wisdom was a touchstone for me and my siblings and her 75 year relationship with mum was vital, supportive, generous and fun. We will miss her as we miss Michael - their friendship with mum and dad was the ideal that we all hope to experience in our own lives. Rest in peace. David O’Halloran and family.
