Granny Joan, the most gentle, generous and genuine soul that we were unbelievably lucky to be blessed with. I thought we missed you beyond words already, but the hole our hearts feel for one more “Granny Joan hug” is bigger than words can explain.
From the first day I met you, you didn't just accept me, you treated me with the love and kindness that is usually reserved for one’s own children.
The most dedicated granny, traveling multiple times a year to Australia to form the most special of bonds with Marni and Harper. Countless tea parties, shopping expeditions and dress ups, the kind of presence that brought pure joy and unconditional love to those around you.
I never remember you letting go from a hug first ever, and what I wouldn’t give to feel those arms around me one more time.
