Dear Jenny, Robert and Edward, sincere sympathy on the passing of your dear mum - Joan. What a lady. I have fond memerories of our times in Bellinter. Apologies I was away last week. May she rest in peace reunited with Malachy.

She was a wonderful lady, and fought so bravely over the last number of years.
I first met Joan back when we were in Brownies and she came in to give us a career talk (we were about 8 or 9) with Jenny as her model. Great memories of an inspirational woman, and we were all lucky to know her.

. I have known her since our students days in UCD and the Mater. She was a wonderful friend and colleague. She was so highly regarded in the profession and rightly so; we were together during our years in the orthopaedic Society ,of which she became president.
She bore her long illness with dignity, as she always did also, to carry out the many works of her profession. I will miss her, as will our many mutual friends. May she now rejoin her beloved husband and rest gently in the arms of the angels and rest in peace in heaven.

I was so sorry to hear about Joan's passing. She was an outstanding example of a truly gifted physiotherapist. She was also a kind, caring person. We had some wonderful discussions both in her "rooms"and when we met in the outdoors. May her gentle soul rest in peace. My condolences to her family.
