So sorry to hear about Mrs O'Byrne's passing. Deepest condolences to her husband Chris and Christopher, Michael, Mary, Grainne and Andrew. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

I have only just heard about Joan's passing. I met her on the ward in St. Anne's during my first few weeks there and we had some wonderful reminiscences about Cork, and shared some of the classic in-jokes! She will remain in my memory as a kind, thoughtful and charismatic woman. My condolences to her beloved family, and adored grandchildren.

Deepest sympathy to Chris and all the family. The last time I met Joan was in the Eye cinema at one of those special showings and as always she was warm and chatty. I got to know Joan during the ten years I spent in Renmore pharmacy. She always uplifted us. May she rest in peace.

To all the O’Byrne family. I was so sad to hear about Joan’s passing. I have very fond memories of going to the flower club with my mum Margaret & all the fun we had with Joan. When I got married & moved to Cork, she was full of advise and always checked in with me when I was home for the weekend. My thoughts are with you all as I know she will be greatly missed.
