Sincere sympathy to all the family and friends of Mrs O’Hara. I have many memories of her kindly nature, but in particular, I had the honour of working on her ward at St Finbarr’s Hospital many years ago when I was a student and what an amazing ward sister she was - so kind, caring, capable and organised. The ward ran like clockwork and the patients were so well minded. I learned a great deal from her during that summer and I often think of her. May she rest in peace.

Auntie Joan was a gentle, kind lady always interested in and kept in touch with her extended family. I remember that when we were young, I received a Sterling ten shilling note in the post every birthday for years. A small fortune then! Such a lovely kind gesture.
