I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Joan and that I missed the funeral. I remember her as a very elegant lady. She accompanied her mother (my Dad's Aunt through marriage) to our family weddings. As Aunt Annie was the last surviving relation of that generation, she was always invited. Sincere sympathy to Vera, the O'Neill and Gillett families. May Joan rest in peace.🙏

I am so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I have lovely fun memories of working with her in Aer Lingus. My lovely colleagues Joan and Audrey were true Clontarf girls and I was a blow in to Clontarf. She was an amazing artist and everytime I look at the beautiful painting she did for me of Bull Island I will remember her with fondness. She was true lady.

Joan will be sadly missed by all the family. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam dilis.
Joan was a proper Aunt. She acknowledged everyone and always arrived at Christmas with presents for everyone. I'm still using the readers with the LED lights for reading in bed.
Not to mention the bottles of chatenuef de pape she always brought with her to family gatherings.
We have some of her paintings of howth and her work as an artist has motivated other family members to take up the brush. Quite successfully.
So Joan will live in our hearts and on our living room walls.
A gentle, kind and lovely woman. May she rest in peace.
