I was deeply saddened to hear of Joan's untimely passing.
I had the pleasure of working with Joan in BOI and will always remember her kindness and support. Joan's integrity, practicality and sense of humour were her hallmarks. My sincerest condolences to Lorna, David, Martin and all the family at this sad time.

It is with deep sadness that I heard of Joan's passing. Although, I haven't met Joan in a long time, her memory is one I will always treasure and hold dear. She came to Kilkee as a young girl to work in the Esplanade hotel for the summers. I have many happy memories of playing squash in the court of the Thomond Hotel, exchanging stories in the Irish House, chatting over cups of tea with Joan. She had a vivacious, outgoing personality, a sense of humour that endeared her to all of us living here. She will be sorely missed. My sympathy to her family and friends. May she rest in peace. M.G.
