Our sincere condolences to Joan's family. I have known Joan since the hops at Glasnevin Tenniis Club and latterly over the years when when she worked in several institutions. She had a fiesty and engaging personality and will be greatly missed by her friends and colleagues.

Joan and I met on our first day at school in the Holy Faith convent Junior Infants class Iona Rd Glasnevin. I will always retain that first image of Joan,the wonderful smile with her head of blonde curls, fiercely intelligent but always full of fun. Though our lives took different directions, we tried to stay in touch over the decades, reminiscing, usually with hoots of laughter about our teen adventures around student parties and tennis hops in the 50’s and 60’s
It’s with great sadness that I pass on my deep sympathy to Robert and Laura on the loss of their loving mother who was always so proud of them and to her sisters Patricia and Mona who have lost their wonderful sister.

I worked with Joan in the insurance business in the late sixties and early seventies. She had such a beautiful caring nature and is someone who left a nice lifelong memory.
