I was so sad to hear today that Joan has passed away. I was very lucky to have her as my hockey coach in Notre Dame many years ago and she was such a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher and much loved by us all. It was such a joy to see again in later years as I did from time to time. She was always such great fun and you felt better for having met her. May I offer my sincere sympathy to her Priestman and Horne families. I know she will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Joan.

Sincere condolences to Norman and to all the extended Priestman family on the sad passing of Joan. May her soul Rest in Peace.
My memories of Joan are from my days in ICI. What stands out across the years was how she looked out for people. She had an eye for injustice and when she spotted any unfairness she was quick to act, often putting herself in the line of fire by doing so. We need more like her.
