All of us at home went to Joan’s playschool and have stayed in touch over the years - we were all so fond of
her. On Fridays she would have us watch bbc cartoons with orange juice and a digestive biscuit … the little things in life :) joan was a true lady, full of laughs and a kind kind soul. May she rest in peace xxxx

Dear Alan and Dawn, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your lovely mum and grandmother Joan. She was such a lovely, warm, fun loving, kind lady and her beautiful eyes and presence lit up so many places she passed through. I always loved finding her at home with my mum having a cup of tea and a chat and a laugh of course.
The children she cared for in the past were blessed to have encountered her as indeed were we to have known her light.

I’ll be thinking of you all tomorrow.

I returned to complete work experience with her in 2005 and had such a lovely time with her. Everytime I met Joan, she had a smile on her face and such genuine kindness. We have some great memories - Joan was our much loved babysitter, she ran the local playgroup- well loved by all the children not forgetting our many trips to The Bombay Palace in Killarney!
