Joan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered! Small in stature but such a larger than life personality and an even bigger heart.

Such a lady and is always part of my childhood memories growing up Skating.

Joan along with Christy always made sure that anyone under the roof of the Silver skate was safe and provided a sense of 'Family' to anyone that needed it.

I’m very sorry to hear about Joan’s death. Joan helped create a lovely ice skating community in the Silver Skate Ice Rink. We also had great times with Joan on our many travels to Dundonald Ice Rink. RIP Joan, you will be missed 💕

I'm so very sorry for you all at this saddest of times. Your Mam was a wonderful lady. I first met her when I was Derek's teacher in Christ the King in 1976 and she was a pleasure to talk to and so proud and supportive of her lovely family. Be strong for each other and know that she will be so happy to be reunited with your Dad Christy and leaving such a proud legacy behind. May Joan rest easy in heaven.
