Dear friends,
I am Claudia from CareChoice, I got your message and I would like to say thank you for remembered me. I would like to let you know I am very grateful because I had the opportunity to have met João and cared him. Some staffs came to me to tell me João passed away. I felt a deep pain upon hearing this news, João was really a great friend, he was like part of my family, he was my “Jão” , it’s an affectionate way to say João.
When he moved I was in my sick leave so I didn’t have the opportunity to say good bye. I was thinking about him last week before it happened and I wish I had spoken with him .
We had good conversations, we listened music together, laughed a lot. He had a strong opinion just like me. Was really a nice time. I think that for a few moments people wanted to understand Portuguese, because often the grace of life only made sense in our mother tongue.
He showed to me Carlos Gardel, one of his favorite singer. I was listening his songs in honor to João. I showed him my favorites singers, for example Nelson Golçalves and now the song Naquela Mesa is dedicated to him. If possible try to listen, its lovely.
My friend always talked about his family, especially about his granddaughter and his son Craig, he really admired them, he was a fan.
I hope that John can be welcomed by God and by all good spirituality and that the love of God and our Jesus Christ can warm the hearts of all his family and friends.
With all my love and prayers,
Claudia Ferreira
