So sorry to learn of Joe's passing. A wonderful neighbour and friend to my parents and my brothers. He was highly respected: a wise and kind policeman and public servant. A great second career as a publican. A family man. He is together with his beloved Beryl.

Joe regularly called into Ck Stn on route back to Waterford from Clonmel. I have great memories of him and all his tale’s of when he was in Ck. Sad news to hear about my friend and buddy Joe RIP. Condolences to Yvonne, Derek and Joey and your families.
Joe was a great friend of mine and my wife Noreen, I served with him in Carrick-on-Suir. One night there was a high speed car chase all over the Suir District for about 2 hours, myself and Joe in one car and 3 other cars. Myself and Joe stopped the stolen car just outside the town on the Clonmel Road and arrested the driver.
I have good memories of Joe and our time spent together both working and later, he was a good friend and sorely missed.
