Joe Considine

On behalf of the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association (ILFA) we would like to extend sincere condolences to Leila and the Considine family on the passing of Joe Considine, may he rest in peace. Joe will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time.

Sincere and prayerful sympathy to the family of Joe Considine. Played hurling with Joe in the sixties. A fantastic hurler and a really lovely person. Sad to hear of his passing. Will mail you the picture of the team of. ‘68. Some have left us while more have a little bit more to do. With lovely memories of Joe he will be remembered fondly.

I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing, he was a lovely kind & gentle man, my sympathy to his extended family, and may he Rest in Peace!

My sincere sympathies to Leila, Aoife Triona and Niall and all the Considine and Horan family. Joe was a much loved father , uncle and grandad, and an active member of the community in Tipp whether through the golf club or the choir at St Michael’s he gave his time freely and willingly.
My thoughts and love are with you all, sorry I couldn’t be there to celebrate his life at his requiem mass

Warm memories of Joe from Dawson Villas, a lovely neighbour. Lovely sense of humour and always an insight on the hurling. I remember looking forward to graduating to minor hurling to play with Joe. Condolences to Lelia, Niall, Triona and Aoife. I know Celine will miss him very much.

Ever grateful for a good teacher who taught me in Primary School and gave me a love of hurling. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis!

In my 1st week in Eblana CBS Dun Laoghaire in ‘68 Joe asked if any of us were interested in playing hurling & football in Cuala. Great memories & good friends resulted.
Years later we visited Tipp Golf Club to be warmly greeted and made welcome by Joe.
Again years later we met, by chance, in the Aherlow House Hotel as Joe hosted a family wedding. He always remembered our names. He was a true gentleman. We were please to pay our respects at St Michaels Church today.

It was a privilege to attend the funeral mass with my classmates from CBS Eblana Dún Laoghaire, Johnny Sheanon and Eamonn Brennan. We were blessed to have Joe as our teacher in 2nd, 5th and 6th classes (1963-68). He was very kind and gave us a great love of singing and hurling. The music was beautiful. A fitting tribute.
