I was so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. What a man and what a footballer. May the Lord embrace him in his Love and may the Lord give you his family strength and comfort at this time.
I never met Joe Corcoran, but he was one of the heroes of my youth. An absolutely class footballer. Sincere condolences to his family.
Joe and my brother Danno were the same age, Joe played for Sarsfields and Danno the Stephenites. Great memories of days gone by.
I was delighted to meet Joe at Croke Park last month when Mayo almost made our dreams come true.
May the soil lie gently upon you Joe.
As young girl attending Mayo matches with my late father, i saw the genius of Joe work his magic many a time in McHale Park, his gift to myself and i'm sure many others was and is an everlasting love of Gaelic football and how it should be played.
May he rest in peace.

Sad to hear that Joe has died RIP. Deepest sympathy to Joe's family and friends. Ardnaree people very proud of Joe , one of the most skilful forwards ever, and a nice man. Many of Joe's scores- exquisite.
I am sad to learn of the death of Joe Corcoran. I remember seeing Joe playing for Mayo in the early seventies. He was such a stylish player, a player that would get on any football team - a great player. My sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.

We were very sorry to hear about the death of Joe. The friendship between the Gilmartins and the Corcorans goes back a long way. Joe was one of the first to call to our house to sympathise when David passed away. He was a gentleman. Our condolences to the Corcoran family
He was before my time following Mayo, but grew up on stories of how great he was, even to this day people from that generation will say Joe was the greatest Mayo player they have seen... RIP
So sorry to hear about Joe we often went dancing together in our teens. I was a year older.
I haven't seen him since then, Happy memories .
