He touched so many lives and will always be remembered with love and respect.

To have witnessed the life Joe and Helen shared, it was always so clear how much they meant to each other, two peas in a pod, a joy to be around. Then as the years rolled on a beautiful family created and precious memories made. Memories that will be cherished forevermore.

I had the pleasure of training with Joe in AIT, such a lovely genuine guy with a great sense of humour. He was a super nurse and always had a smiling face around MRHT.

We had the privilege of meeting Joe around 17 years ago when he started going out with Helen. He slotted in right away and since then we have been lucky enough to have him celebrate every family Wedding, Christening, Communion etc with us. We will dearly miss him greet us with his ‘Well folks’ and the twinkle in his eye as he rubbed his hands together, ready to get the party started.

He really was the life and soul of every occasion and that’s why this is so hard to understand. He has been taken from you all far too soon but we are so grateful for all the great times and memories we all have with him.

Joe, thank you for the laughs, the dances, the trickery and cheeky grins, the trips down the farm with all the little scallywags, all the wonderful stories you shared and the joy you brought to everyone of us. We will miss you so much.

Joe was always a character in secondary school and had a permanent cheeky grin on his face but at the same time he was such a decent guy and had a heart of gold. I’m sure anyone from Mountmellick CS would agree in saying he made school fun and created a lot of memories we will now think back of.
