Our deepest sympathies to you all on the passing of your father Joe. We are so sorry we couldn't make it down to be there today with you all.

As you know your Dad taught me a life lesson from visiting him in Mace - that is, pick up everything after yourself as others shouldn't have to do it and will think less of you if you don't. That life lesson took Joe one look and a couple of words to impart to me, all of about 40 something years ago...and it's stuck with me since.

I remember fondly Joe and Mary visiting Woodlawn and Mom plying Joe with whiskey and all the laughter. I'm sure they are all laughing together now.
