Deepest sympathy and condolences to all the Hensey family.

Joe was such a wonderfully adventurous and creative person. I have many great, fun filled memories from my teenage years with Joe. Whether it was hiking (& cooking rashers and beans on stoves) up the Dublin mountains, riding donkeys or mucking out on the farm in Killaloe, we were always laughing. He was always leading the adventure!

Our parents were great friends and my mum and dad (Dick& Joan) would be heartbroken by the sad news.

RIP Joe.

My sincere condolences to the entire Hensey family on Joe’s untimely passing.

Joe was truly one of a kind; a warm, gentle, and kind-hearted person. I was fortunate to have known Joe as a close friend since our teenage years. Today, all his Raheny friends are remembering him fondly, recalling the many good times we shared, walking home from St Paul’s, meeting in the Grove, and stopping off in Macari’s chipper along the way, among so many other memories.

It was only natural that Joe became friends with our wives too; he was always welcoming, thoughtful and considerate. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.

Recalling Joe’s favourite song
"You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am, I'll come running to see you again." James Taylor
Our sincerest condolences to all on the very sad passing of your lovely Joe. May he Rest in Peace
