Joe (H.J.) Curtin

Saddened to have just learned of Joe's passing after a long and full life. Joe had been an advisor, confidante and friend to me since 1994 when I first qualified. My sincere condolences to you Máire, to Deirdre, Aideen, Niall, Donall all of whom I've been fortunate to have as friends too, and to Abigail who by coincidence is one of my own daughter's closest friends and to all of Joe's extended family and many friends. He has left an extraordinary legacy in you all. May he rest in peace.

He was a pivotal figure in the revival of our club in 1946 after a lapse of a number of years.

His teenage colleagues at the time laid foundations that endure to the present day. Everyone who wears our jersey today owes him a great debt of gratitude.

He lived a long, active and fulfilling life.
