So shocked to learn of Joe’s death – a man so full of life and vigour. I worked with him at BT and also when he was at Huawei. There, he was a helpful host in a bafflingly different world. You always knew where you stood with Joe - he was honest, generous and, of course, always happy to share his views on the state of the world! I will miss hearing those views over a glass or two. Joe and I worked together at BT. You couldn't call it work really as we had such a great time managing some big comms programmes and events, and we had fun on a few nights out - a genuine dude - comms guru and a good friend - devastating news and all my thoughts are with Joe's family x

Joe was awesome, fun, charming and very thoughtful. He always had the right words at the right time. I’m struggling to find the right words now. He always had the best stories but sadly his own is now far to short.

Joe was my director at BT Wholesale. He’d have us walk around the block for our 1:1’s so he could have a cigarette. His methods were certainly alternative but he gave me advice I will remember always. My love goes to his family, he leaves a massive gap. RIP Joe x

Joe was a mentor, a colleague and a good friend. He was always challenging and insightful. We became good friends and Joe’s charm and humour certainly brightened my life. In recent years we’ve not seen so much of each other as Joe’s time in the U.K. was precious family time, but I’ve loved seeing his insights into life in China, and some of his amazing travels, through the brilliant photographs he took. Joe was fiercely bright, great good fun, hard-working and much respected. He rose through the ranks in my agency deservedly fast and when he went client-side it was a pleasure and a privilege to work for him at both Xerox and Marconi. I feel honoured to have known him.
