It was with a great sense of loss and sadness that I learned of the death of Joe. In a lifetime you meet and get to know a lot of people but i don't think you could ever be fortunate enough to meet a greater gentleman than Joe Lynch. Joe was a man of exceptional integrity, good humor and a Gaelic games encyclopedia. To spend an evening with Joe in his lovely home was to be refreshed and regaled with footballing stories, farming and politics. He had a warmth and friendliness that not even his great coal fires could match. Sincere sympathy to his sisters and all the extended family. May you rest in peace Joe, dear friend.
