Saddened to learn of Joe's passing. First met Joe when he stood in as our training coach for a season with St Marks Athletic FC in the late eighties. Pre season he flogged us up and down Killiney Hill , we didn't win the league but we might have won a horse race ! Very often I would see Joe on Bath Avenue and always a wave and smile to say hello.
Sincere condolences to Joe's Family and friends on your tremendous loss.
Rest in Peace, Joe, Ad Astra.

Rest in Peace, Joe, Ad Astra.
I met Joe through working in the South East Area office and thought the world of him and all the good things that he did, not just in his own locality but further afield. He was so generous with his time, his knowledge and his experience, all of which he shared with everyone. His contribution to enhancing and supporting his community and its people was amazing. He nurtured so much interest in his neighbours, both young and old, and in his work with scouts groups and school kids, so his legacy will reach far into the future. I learnt so much from him in a short period of time. He set the bar so very high.
Sincere condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.

Deepest Condolences to the Family, Extended Family, Relatives and Friends of Joe. A former U18 team mate and friend who always had a smile on his face and a joke to share. R.I.P.
Sincere condolences to Joe's family. I met Joe though BADRA and feel so privileged to have been able to get know him over the last few years. He gave so much and worked tirelessly and passionately for the community. A man of wit and determination, Joe was bursting with ideas to simply make life better for everyone around him. No matter what the ask, Joe had a plan and got it done. I will miss the long chats on the phone that inevitably followed when you just called him with a quick question...I always left those calls with a smile, either knowing more about Joe's life or wondering how on earth he would get the time to bring to life his latest idea. Thank you Joe.

One of the most common sights around Bath Avenue was Joe! On his bike! Cleaning up the planters! Chatting! Always time for a chat! He surely will be missed. Deepest sympathy to all his family and may he rest in peace.
Well uncle joe, I’m sad to see you leave us so soon. You were always a character and a half. I’ll never forgot sleeping over as a kid and you telling me the story about the leprechaun dancing on the landing the night before. Not realising you were talking about me sleep walking. I’m so sorry for spilling tea into your lap that time when I was young too. I’d never seen your face so red but you didn’t even give out to me. I think you were too busy trying to fan down your scolded crotch while I skipped off merrily on my way. I’d say you were cursing me. It was nice getting to know you again in recent years, you were always trying to recruit people for the tv shows for me. No better man. I bet you’re waffling the ears off them all upstairs and I’m sure you’ve already won a raffle or two while you’ve been there. Take it easy joe. We’ll miss you. X
Condolences to all of Joe’s family and friends.

To all Joe's family, I'm so sorry for his passing, he was a good friend and mentor, I'll always remember him for giving me food I didn't want to eat, advice I didn't want to take, tasks I didn't want to do, taught me things I didn't want to learn, gave me lessons I didn't want to learn, and always convinced me I needed it all, drove me mad, made me laugh, but always with the kindest of hearts.
