Joe Neville

Ah I was sorry to just hear of this news. Joe and I both of the same name which amused both of us, him Fianna Fáil and I Fine Gael joined by name and a love and involvement in politics and community work. We messaged each other the odd time and he always seemed like such a lovely fella. I will look after my Joe Neville FF pen which I have always kept and think of him. Condolences to all his family and friends who no doubt are devastated by his passing. RIP Joe

Joe and I were on SDCC together between 2004 and 2009. While we were very different Politically I had a lot of time for Joe both then and since as he was clearly a principled Man and always great to talk to.

Such a proud grandfather. Every time i seen him id always get to see updated pictures of her. You could just see the joy in him everytime he spoke of her. Min her name was mentioned the phone would come out 😊 He will be missed by all

Saddened to hear of Joe's most untimely death. I knew Joe from his TCD days and our paths crossed many times since, mainly in the political realm. As so many others have rsaid, Joe was hard working, dignified, kind with a zest for life. A gentleman in all senses of that word.

Joe first contacted me when he was looking to relocate to Dundalk and asked me about the areas he had in mind. When he moved here we had great chats about politics both local and national and I was only delighted last year he helped me out by tallying the boxes in the local elections June, his interest and knowledge in politics always ensured our chats were long and interesting. I’m shocked and devastated after hearing the passing of our dear friend Joe. I can’t believe it the most genuine man and friend we made moving to Dundalk both dubs myself and my partner Lee and Joe got on great. I will miss your infectious smile and your positivity you always had.
