Joe O'Brien

Joe - He was my Monday morning savior as I had to make it to Dublin to work in my first job @ 80 Haddington Road. He was always on the button, never late. He also sometimes picked up a lady named Mary Boland, who's GAA father, I think his name was Willie (I might be way wrong in this).
Early or late, Joe gave his Austin A 40 "the wellie" all the way to Glasnevin and then drifted through heavy traffic like Sterling Moss in a Monaco Grand Prix. But he always got me to where I had to be. WHAT A GUY!
I think the last time I met him was at me Mother's 80th Birthday Party in Navan, at which he laughed and laughed as we both reflected on the days of the "Building in Dublin & the ould A40"
My Mother & Father loved this quite gentleman.
But ....put a Seneschalstown jersey on him and the gentleman bit was out the window!! He became 'The Incredible Hulk' when playing football.
I am sorry he and I didn't get to meet and chat again -
Maybe if there is a life after this, we will pick it up where we left off.
Joe, safe travels, and knowing you, I believe you will be young again and have 'yer foot to the floor' all the time.
