Dear Hilary, firstly apologies for the delay in conveying our sincere condolences to you and your family on the sad passing of Joe. I wasn’t aware of Joe’s death until Mike informed us over a week ago. I have very fond memories of meeting Joe in Punch’s Bar after some of the Patrickswell games. He was a lovely person to meet and the banter was always good, whether it was Cork versus Limerick or the merits (or otherwise) of Gaelic football over hurling etc. I hope you are coping well yourself despite your great loss. We are thinking of you and hope we meet up soon again in Patrickswell. May Joe rest in peace.
