Joe WALSH

May Bernie and all of Joe's extended family find solace in all the great memories of Joe recalled below. Joe was a great neighbour and a great citizen. Not known to many, we shared a memory of North Dublin farming in the late 50s. Joe was born on a farm near St Margaret's and his father was very friendly with many of the senior farm managers at the Albert College where I was a student back then. I was sad at his passing. May Joe rest in eternal peace.

Joe was my coach for many years.
He believed in every one of us and encouraged us more than we knew!
We had great times in Santry Stadium and many places around Ireland for athletics.

Our sincere condolences to all the family. We've very fond memories of Joe when we started training down in Fingallians back in the 1970s. Joe was a fantastic coach and himself and Bernie encouraged so many young Swords people through the years. years later Joe was at our side when we hosted European Games for Blind. 20 years later again we inducted Joe and Bernie into our Hall of Fame. Rest In Peace Joe.

Joe's broad smile would welcome you as you came to the long jump pit which he had already dug and raked to his exacting standards. A day spent raking long jump pits always passed by quickly as he was such good company.
