I knew Joe for almost 60 years. We started engineering together in UCD in 1956. A Brilliant Student.
He worked in Boeing in the US for a number of years and then returned to Ireland where he founded the engineering company Quaestor, going strong to this day. He was what you might have termed a "Renaissance Man" an Authority on Music and almost every other topic you can mention
One of the finest people I have ever met. He will be greatly missed.
As the Irish saying goes: "A leithead ann aris ni feicimis" "His likes again we will not see.
