To Anneke and Peter and extended family we offer our deepest sympathy on the death of Hans and belatedly that of Rita. A truly lovely couple, so friendly and good humoured,they both gave great service to the Choral Union. It was a pleasure to have known them. May there gentle souls rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Hans. As a violinist he was a great addition to the UL Orchestra when I was the conductor there. He and his wife Rita were always very happy and would always share a joke . A lovely couple. I will always hold fond memories of them both. May they Rest in Peace.

I had a pleasure of playing with Johan Hans in ULO. I will always remember his colorful part (he highlighted everything), his knowledge of music and passion for playing. Sincere condolences to his family, may he rest in peace

I was so very sad to hear of Hans' passing. He was a really lovely man. He and Riet were a beautiful couple always pleasant and good-humoured, kind and helpful and very good company.They were much valued members of Limerick Choral Union and were missed very much when they retired from the choir. Hans loved his music and one occasion he performed the Warsaw Piano Concerto with the L.C.U. orchestra at one of our concerts. My sincere sympathy to all his family. I am so sad to read this news. I have so many treasured memories of trips abroad with Hans and Riet during our time together in LCU. His ready smile, his big booming voice and the way he would shed a tear when we flew over the Shannon Estuary. It bemused me how someone could love Ireland so much! He was such a beautiful man. It is so sad now to pass by the house and place which they both loved so much. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I would just like to send to hans family a hart felt sadness on the passing of your father and grandad, as he was a member off our community for so long now from the days you youst park in the carpark in the camper van, and then built in woodfield, a good frend to our family has passed now but won't be forgotten as well as Rita is in our prayers always.
