My deepest condolences to Girlie's sons and wider family. Girlie was a very significant friend to my late mother, Pat Hayes. I have warm memories of their mutual involvement in the RGC "Friday Ladies"; their sea swims and other hobbies and gatherings and the fun they had. I too have fond personal memories of Girlie. RIP

She was a great friend to my aunt , the late Joan Pierse . We used to meet up in Rosslare golf club, out on the course or playing cards in the club house . Then there were the Thursday lunch in the Talbot hotel , always fun and a lively debate on matters of the day . Girlie May your gentle soul rest in peace

So sorry to hear news of Girlies passing.what a fantastic coach and teacher to just so so many of us starting out to golf it was truly wonderful to have her helping us as pure beginners on the burrow and then graduating up to the main course with knowledge and confidence gained from the best.

My sincere condolences to Tony and John of the Passing of their remarkable mother. I have very fond memories of Girlie giving me perils of wisdom on Golf and the game. She was a true trooper of Rosslare Golf Club for so many years, and it was an honour to have known her. She dedicated so many long hours to the Club, as Lady Captain. She was among a group of formidable women who shaped the Lady's Club and always had a pleasant word to say or a word of encouragement. May her gentle soul rest in peace, and may she be playing golf on the eternal Golf Course.
