Jack contributed unselfishly to the Mid-West region in general and in particular to the development of the NIHE (Limerick), subsequently the University of Limerick, in his ten years as Chairperson of its Governing Authority. Jack will be remembered with respect and fondness by his many former colleagues on the Governing Body and at the University in general.
