John (TONY) was a great man. He did tremendous work for Balbriggan Tidy Towns

Stephen, Eoin, Niamh, Auntie Maura and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Uncle Tony was so loved by his sister Maureen, brother in law Patsy, and all his NY Traynor nieces & nephews. We feel so blessed that we were able to have him living so near to us for so many years. He was a second Poppy to all the grand nieces and nephews. The greatest debater, and the inventor of the game of kitchen table politics will not be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your dad & grandfather with us. Love to you all. XO

So sad to hear of Tony’s passing. I have many fond childhood memories and will never forget his sense of humour. RIP uncle Tony, you will be sadly missed.

Very sorry to hear of Tonys passing . I arrived in Balbriggan as a green country lad and worked on a unit with Tony and John Thornton two contrasting gentlemen . We had some great times in my three years there and had copious pints and chats in Fagans and The White Horse . I learned so much from Tony and was sorry i did not meet him more in retirement . Deepest sympathy to Maura and Tonys family . May he rest in peace .
