Just heard the sad news of John's death. We knew John in Dublin in 70s and in latter years we bumped into him practically every year in Cork. Always enjoyed his company. A real character. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of John's passing.
He was a very close friend in our young days in Drimnagh. Great chess player used to play all night with him and Lar and my own brother.
I was delighted to meet John again about 10 years ago through Ger when working in Cork.John was a lovely man. May he rest in peace in his homeland in heaven.
