My sincere sympathies to John's family on his untimely passing. I had dealings with John for work and always found him a pleasure to deal with. He will be dearly missed by the library community.

To Johns Family and Friends. My sincerest condolences. I knew John through my work with IT in the LGMA. John was a unique man, always kind, patience and he had a great sense of humour that would make you smile even when the work load was quite difficult. We spoke recently about his Masters degree which he had recently completed, and his career plans. He had hopes of one day returning to work with Libraries or the County Council in Kilkenny region...the region he loved the most. It is so sad he has now passed away, and we are all burdened with heavy hearts. But at least I know he is now in heaven, looking down on us, with a smile. He is home now. Rest in peace dear John.

My sincerest condolences to Johns family this is a very sad time for his brothers and sisters and remaining family. I was very saddened to hear this news. I knew John from kilkenny for a long time prior to him moving and working in Dublin. He always had a great personality and i have very fond memories him. I will always remember John and times we had. I met John in 2004/2005 when he was renting a room in Drumcondra during our college years. John was such an interesting guy and great fun to be around and to talk to. I hadn't spoken to him in years but I will remember him fondly. This is such a tragic thing to have happened. My sincere condolences to his loving family and his close friends. Rest in Peace John.

I was so saddened to hear about John's sudden passing. I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to him on a number of occasions. I can only imagine how immense your loss is and my thoughts are with you all. Mind yourselves at this very difficult time.
