Dear Stephanie,
I remember your Dad so fondly from his numerous visits to our family home in Congress Ave, to visit his Uncle Jim and his Aunty Madge. Always in good humour and full of chat, he loved nothing better than catching up with all his extended family and phoned my dad and/or mam for years every Sunday evening to exchange all the news. He was always talking about you Stephanie and was very, very proud of you.
My brother (Mark) and sisters (Lavina, Ann & Elaine) & I were very sorry to hear of his passing. I keep in touch with Dick in Northampton and he contacted me yesterday with details for the live streaming of the service. I really appreciated it. It was really a lovely, fitting tribute. Loved the Irish and Louth flags. You and your children all spoke beautifully and all the tributes were so sincere and heartfelt.
Wishing you all the best Stephanie, and thinking of you at this very lonely time.

I am so sorry to hear of Big Johns passing.I was born and raised in the chord road just several houses away from the Mulroy family. My friends and I were some years younger than Big John and would stand in awe as this giant would walk by.He always had a word for us and we would grow a few inches.I remember Johns family foundly,Paddy,Willie and Marie, plus his hard working Mother who held it all together.May you ,as a family ,find comfort at this time and may Big John rest in heavenly peace.
