Lovely to have been able to be present via the Internet to the live requiem mass in Donnycarney this morning. Everyone spoke so well. Great to hear the memories and anecdotes and the symbols of John's life - the steel 'rule', the horse riding hat, the passport . Nice picture of John too. Great story of John being caught 'mitching' in Croke Park. The padre did a good job. Love to Chris, Alison, Janet, Carol, Olive, Pat, Joe and all the family.

I've just viewed John's Funeral Mass on Webcam. I was very taken by Carol's tribute to her Dad at the beginning. It captured well how I remember John. May he now rest in peace. And my condolences to Chris, Alison, Janet, Carol and the whole family. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I worked with John at Larkin Community College, City of Dublin ETB. He was an excellent teacher much respected by students and staff alike. The epitome of kindness he was generous with his time and talents. He will be missed and his memory is cherished by all who knew him.
