So sorry to hear of John’s sudden passing. I spoke to him on the phone only days before his passing. John’s late wife Mary was my godmother. Condolences to all his extended family. So sorry to have missed the funeral, I just was informed today.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.

We shared many happy years in Digital, we worked hard and still had time for fun, parties and laughter. John was so kind and thoughtful to everyone and following his retirement in 1999 enjoyed keeping up to date with the news from Digital and loved going back to work for the Christmas Dinner and would spend the day calling round to everyone for a catchup. I had regular phones calls with John and visits to Polkeen, Renmore and Claregalway where he would proudly show me his latest batch of tomatoes & strawberries in the glasshouse.

John was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by all of us. You are reunited now with Mary in Heaven, may your gentle souls rest in peace always.
