Batrice, I am so sorry to hear that John died so untimely. My memories of him are that of a thorough gentleman. He would say go on in and make a cup of tea for yourself and Ill have one too. His hospitality meant a lot to me. May you and your family stay close to each other and may he rest in peace with God.

I wish to pass my sympathy to Beatrice and family at this time. I am unfortunately unable to attend the funeral due to work commitments away from Carlow. I always enjoyed being in John's company and we shared many a good laugh and story. I am sure many of these stories will be spoken about over the next few days by all his friends. He will be sadly missed by everyone. May he rest in peace.

Dear Beatrice and family and Brenadan, Mary, Helen and Martina - we grew up with and loved John as children and teenagers in the Carlow of the 60's /70's. He was a vital part of the soccer and football teams that played in "the lane" and the Bank Field. He will always be in our prayers and memorys. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
