Mr Byrne was a complete and utter gentleman, that always looked after me whilst growing up in Castletroy, alongside his beautiful wife Mona together they always tried to show and guide Conor and myself in the right way when we were getting ourselves into our little bits of trouble :) never judging us but always being there for us. Shocked to hear of John’s passing. My sincere condolences to his family and relatives. John was a dedicated member of the Knight’s of Saint Columbanus who recently honoured him for his wonderful organisation of the Fuel for the Poor Fund every Christmas time. He will be greatly missed.
