To Sean and Mary,
John was one of the most incredible people I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. His presence filled the room and his humor always put a smile on me and my father’s face. I’m extremely lucky to have met him and all of you. I’m also lucky to be able to call you family. God bless from your cousin’s over in Philadelphia. We are always thinking of you and we love you. Till we meet again.

Flight challenges in NewYork then diverted to London and 6 weary travelers finally landed in Dublin excited to meet our Irish cousin. All the troubles and anxiety of the previous 12 hours melted away within minutes of meeting with John Dunne. That he was a warm, charming and caring gentleman was immediately apparent. We were in good hands. Throughout our visit John shared our family history, touring our Dad’s childhood through the beautiful West Cork countryside. He, along with his beloved Mary, brought our heritage to life with endless, joyful, detailed stories. They gave us incomparable memories.
Over the years, my Mother and the 6 John O’Brien siblings - and many of their family members - were so lucky to enjoy visits with the Dunnes and their boys, always welcomed with their special familial affection.
Dear Mary and Sean, our love and condolences on the loss of a truly special, gentle man. God Bless.
