Dear Mary, Michael, Laura, Kirsten, Brid, Anne, Mary, Ang, Kate, Fiona and Una. I am Thinking of you all at this very sad time. I have no words to console you. I have such lovely memories of your lovely John. As Michael said John was a divil and such a funny guy. I have such brilliant memories of John in the many times I was in Greentrees. The service on Tuesday was absolutely amazing and brought me back to those wonderful memories of when we were all young. I can honestly say I have never been at such a balanced funeral service and I’m sure it was exactly how John wanted it to be. Balanced between feeling so sad but also celebrating the fantastic guy your John was. As the priest said no one can ever steal the wonderful memories of John. May he rest in peace ❤️‍🩹

To Mary, Michael and Laura, Auntie Brede and John's wonderful sisters, reading through the multitude of comments shows what a special man you had on your hands. But you knew that already.

There won't be a conversation had about John Clancy in the future that will not elicit a smile or a laugh.

We were so sorry to have missed John's funeral as were out of the country but were able to watch online. Even from a distance, it was clear that what a special celebration it was.

We will miss him. We will never forget him. Rest in peace John.
