To the Clarke Family,
I knew John from his work in the RDS and quickly warmed to him.
His gregarious nature, wit, intelligence, modesty and sincerity were just a few of his admirable traits.
He was the quintessential raconteur and always had an engaging story to tell!
John attended our wedding, Christmas 2024 in Cork and was instantly loved by all of our family and friends.
I visited him in Beaumont a few times last year but only learned of his passing at work today.
I am so saddened by the news; my thoughts and prayers are with him and with you all.

Sincere condolences to John's family and friends. John and I got on so well in Beaumont and I loved chatting to him about his travels and interests. John was so intelligent and well read yet so very down to earth and always enquired after the wellbeing of others. A very special person whose memory will be cherished by all who knew him. May he RIP.

So sorry to hear of Johns passing only knew him a couple of months as a fellow patient in St Francis Hospice but he left a lovely feeling behind him may he RIP

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your brother, John. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. My thoughts are with you and your family as you navigate through this loss.

John was truly one of life's most brilliant people, he wasn't a big guy but managed to fill a space with his indomitable spirit. He was the instigator in creating a group of mates on the 33x of which I was vey fortunate to be a part of - it is thanks to him that we all gained such good friends in each other. Right to the end he cared more about everyone else than he did himself. He would phone or text me to see how I was doing, he worried for the well beimg of his friends. He fought valiantly throughout and kept his fighting spirit and dignity right to the very end.
My heart goes out to his family at this saddest of times, may he rest in eternal peace. 💔😢
