Dear Eilish, Roger, Stevie & Eve,
We were saddened & shocked to hear of John’s death. We only found out yesterday thanks to Roger’s email. John had a great enquiring mind and this resulted in long & detailed conversations all of which were entertaining. A true gentleman and dear friend. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I worked with John in UCD and at the time he was building a house. We had some laughs as John was a larger than life character . May he rest in peace

So sad to hear of John's passing. He was a great supporter and raconteur in the 1895's in Greystones Golf Club. Even after giving up golf, he continued to call out every few weeks with his great friend Willie Teehan. His presence will be greatly missed by all his friends in Greystones Golf Club, especially in the 1895's group. So sorry to hear of Johns passing a good friend to me in his many years on the Bank. I remember well when he was building the house in Wingates and supplying a product for the feature wall in the Hallway.
