John Collins was a man who devoted his life to hurling coaching when he came to Longford . He showed us how to play the game, encouraged us in the most caring of ways and promoted the game week after week. He never forgot his beloved Tipp either . RIP JOHN

I always associated uncle John with Tipperary hurling and had the opportunity to travel to a few games with him in Thurles with Frankie and my dad when I was younger.
