John Connolly

I only learned today of John's passing. Please accept my belated condolences. John was a wonderful colleague and an important member of our UCC community for so many years. We will miss him greatly

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Connolly's passing. I will always remember him as an absolute gentleman with a great sense of humour. My deepest sympathies to all of the Connolly family.

Only today, I heard the sad news of John's recent death.I knew John from his time with the church choir.He was a lovely pleasant man with a beautiful voice.My sincere condolences to his wife and family.May he RIP.

I was very saddened to hear of John's passing. He was a proud member of Na Piarsaigh and it was always a pleasure to meet him at games and Club events, where he'd never let it pass without coming over for a chat. He was pure gentleman. My deepest sympathies to you all at this time.

So sad to hear of John's passing. A long time member of Muskerry Golf Club and on Saturday mornings could be heard calling greetings to all and sundry as he traversed the fairways with his good friend Ger. A decent man.

So sad to hear of the passing of John. I’ve known him since 1981, when I first joined UCC. He was a wonderful colleague and friend. He had such a strong presence, was friendly, kind, caring and generous. He dealt so well with his illness and kept in touch by telephone to the very end.

John was a great friend to my Dad Jerry and they talked every week by phone and enjoyed their chats. I met John when I was a young girl while visiting my Dad at UCC and he was always an absolute gentleman and had great time for us and always asked my Dad about us when we grew up moved away and got married and had our own kids and in recent years I had the pleasure of talking to him on the phone even only a few short months ago. May John Rest in Eternal Peace now.
