Another of lifes good guys gone way too soon. I played Golf, Snooker and Poker with John over the last 20 years and he was one very tough competitor who got the best out of his ability in every way possible. A thorough Gentleman he will be missed by all of us who were lucky enough to have known him. RIP John
It was with a heavy heart I learned of John's passing. A genuine and unique gentleman, fondly remembered and sadly missed.
Gentleman! - May he Rest in Peace.
Very sorry to hear of John's passing. Enjoyed playing a game of cards with him every Thursday for the last few years. I think he secretly enjoyed taking chips off his 2nd Cousin more than anyone else in the room.

We wish to extend our deep regret and heartfelt sympathy to Anne, Shane, Conor, Robert, Niall, their partners, family and friends on this sad occasion.
John was a true gentleman and friend to everyone who played in the Society over many many years. John was Captain of the Society in 2013. He created the Captains Challenge which saw all his predecessors turned out for a competitive challenge which he duly won himself. He will be sadly missed and remembered always.
